Kit Geek's rule is strict: a shirt, shorts and socks pairing England wore in one full international and never repeated. The list runs from white shirts with navy shorts and hooped red, white and navy socks against Wales in November 1960, through the only time England paired navy shorts with navy socks, against Wales in October 1961, to the all-navy Euro 2012 look against Sweden and the final Umbro-era kit against Italy in August 2012. Most of these were forced by kit clashes or tournament-specific alternatives rather than chosen by anyone, which is a large part of why they never came back.

The consignor, a Colorado collector named Michael, inherited the lot from his father. It runs to 38 cards from the 1929 R316 Kashin set, two of them Babe Ruth, plus 1947-66 Exhibit Supply Company cards of Duke Snider, Harmon Killebrew and Lew Burdette, 1961 team-issued Twins and Phillies cards, and 1965 Cardinals photocards. R316 is the kind of issue that sits in the shadow of T206 and Goudey, so a 38-card run of it surfacing intact out of one family collection is the part worth noting. Just Collect states no price and no grade for anything in it, and this is the same dealer that turned up a 1917-20 Babe Ruth M101-6 at The National in July.
