The owner pulled the card out of a decades-old screwdown case and sent it to PSA, and Just Collect, which bought the complete 1952 Topps set it belongs to over the summer, says it has never been publicly offered before. For scale on where a 5 sits in that population: 284 copies grade higher, and only three PSA 10s are known to exist. Just Collect says the last two PSA 5 Mantle rookie sales each topped $200,000. The card will be at booths 210 and 212 at the Philly Show, Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks, September 25 to 27.
