2025-26 Topps Chrome Update Basketball drops today with Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel rookie patch autos

Topps' first NBA Update product is officially on sale today, August 6. Presales ran through an EQL raffle on July 7, with hobby boxes at $529.99 and jumbos at $1,079.99. The 200-card base set uses fresh in-season photography, but the draw is the Rookie Debut Patch Autographs, game-worn NBA debut patches for Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Dylan Harper, one auto guaranteed per hobby box and three per jumbo.

A r/baseballcards poster bought a mixed lot of about 80 packs from 2002 to 2006 for a couple of dollars each and opened one pack from every series of 2003 Topps Chrome. Sitting under an Ichiro Suzuki base card in the Series 1 pack was an Ichiro Black Refractor, numbered 89/199, a card that fell about one per box across 220 cards a series. The poster says the condition looks great, and the thread lit up over the value gap against what the packs cost.
